HERVE GASPARD

Herve Gaspard is a naturally gifted and talented musician and songwriter. Music has been his foundation, coming from a family of artists and musicians. He is the nephew of the legendary group Freres Dejean, one of the most popular and influential bands from Haiti. Herve is most proud of his family up-bringing and their continued support in his musical dream. Herve started singing at a young age and joined the Grace Church choir, in Newark, New Jersey. He remained a member of the choir for over 10 years. While in elementary school, Herve was the only student selected to receive a scholarship from the American Re-Insurance Company to attend the American Boychoir School in Princeton, NJ. While attending this prestigious school, he received extensive classical training, learned to play over 10 instruments, and toured Paris, France. Herve continued his music education at Bloomfield College, achieving a Bachelor of Arts in Music. Under the direction of his mentor, Professor Christopher White of the Dizzie Gillespie Quartet, Herve was awarded the Weiss Prize for excellence in his area of concentration. Outside of school, his experience in live performance include opening for Terror Squad. Along with his brother, Herve is half of the male duo group "2G'S". They have performed at many car shows, fashion shows, nightclubs, and open mic lounges all over the East coast. Herve was also a member of the live band "3.4," which also toured the East coast. Today, Herve continues to personify his love of music by composing lyrics and performing original pieces. His charisma, energy and broad knowledge are always reflected in his work.
